Pluta Cancer Center's 11th Annual Emerald Ball Takes Place Saturday, September 11

Pluta Cancer Center’s 11th Annual Emerald Ball will take place Saturday, September 11 at Oak Hill Country Club. The annual fundraising gala honors Pluta Cancer Center’s dedicated staff, and it celebrates the empowerment Pluta provides patients to face diagnosis with hope, dignity and support.

Former Pluta Cancer Center patient Joan Zummo will deliver the keynote address. Her speech, “They Called Us By Name – The Pluta Difference,” will talk about her husband Joe’s experience at Pluta during his treatment for gall bladder cancer while she was being treated for lymphoma at the center. Joe passed away last year, and earlier this year, Joan donated money to set up an exam room at Pluta in his honor.

Tickets are available for $175 per person or $200 per person for Patron Level by calling Allison Knoth at 585-486-0571. The Emerald Ball begins at 6 p.m. with a complimentary champagne reception. All proceeds support Pluta Cancer Center’s ability to offer an extra level of care. These services include support groups, nutrition counseling, massage therapy, tai chi, yoga, medication, grocery cards, and transportation for patients.
