Pluta Cancer Center Appoints Medical Oncologist

Pluta Cancer Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcia Krebs, M.D., as medical oncologist. Dr. Krebs joins Pluta Cancer Center after practicing most recently at Shore Cancer Center in Nassawadox, VA, where she also served as medical director and inpatient palliative care physician consultant.

Dr. Krebs received her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1996. She completed her internal medicine residency at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She completed her oncology fellowship at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, one of the top cancer centers in the country. Dr. Krebs also served as medical chief resident at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.

Dr. Krebs has extensive teaching experience in oncology and pain management and has served on multiple hospital committees including the Shore Memorial Hospital cancer committee and the internal medicine committee. She has participated in numerous community programs and is an experienced lecturer on breast cancer and palliative care. Dr. Krebs has received several awards for her excellence in patient care. She resides in Pittsford.
